Project Introduction
The client had taken over an existing restaurant that previously operated as a barbecue restaurant and wanted to transform the space into a more upscale buffet dining venue.
Rather than relying only on conventional interior decoration, the client wanted to create a more memorable dining environment through immersive projection. The goal was to give guests a distinctive visual experience while strengthening the restaurant’s premium positioning.
The client discovered DIFWOD through one of our restaurant projection projects on YouTube and contacted us to explore how a similar concept could be adapted to the new venue in Canada.
OUR SERVICES
System Planning
We planned the projection system based on the restaurant layout, projection areas and the immersive dining experience the client wanted to create.
Equipment Supply
DIFWOD supplied the core projection equipment and supporting hardware required for the complete 15-projector system.
Software & Content
We provided the projection software and supported the client in testing and adjusting visual content for the restaurant environment.
Pre-shipment Testing
The system was tested multiple times before shipment to verify equipment operation, software performance and overall compatibility.
Installation Drawings
Detailed projector positioning and installation drawings (including circuit diagrams and network wiring diagrams) were provided to guide the client’s local technical team.
Remote Support
DIFWOD provided remote technical support throughout installation, testing and calibration until the final projection result met the client’s expectations.
WHAT WE DID
Behind the final immersive experience was nearly one year of planning, communication and technical support across more than 12,000 kilometers between China and Canada. During the remote commissioning stage alone, 329 videos were exchanged as both teams worked through installation, testing, calibration and repeated fine adjustments. The video below documents how the project moved from concept to completion.
PROJECT RESULT
The completed system became an important part of the restaurant’s new visual identity, allowing immersive content to work together with the redesigned interior and dining environment. The restaurant is now operating successfully, and feedback from both the owner and dining guests reflects a positive response to the new atmosphere and overall dining environment.
