Project Introduction
The New Zealand client wanted to introduce a new way for builders, designers and property clients to experience architectural plans before construction.
Instead of viewing a floor plan only on paper or a computer screen, the goal was to create a space where architectural drawings could be displayed directly on the floor at 1:1 scale, allowing users to physically walk through rooms, understand proportions and experience the relationship between different spaces.
Based on the venue conditions and intended application, DIFWOD developed a complete 10-projector real-scale floor projection system for the project in Auckland, New Zealand. From system planning and equipment preparation to technical support, calibration and final commissioning, our team worked closely with the client throughout the project.
OUR SERVICES
System Planning
We designed the projection configuration based on the venue dimensions, required projection coverage and intended architectural application.
Installation Drawings
Detailed projector positioning, wiring and system layout drawings were prepared to support the project implementation.
1:1 Projection Software
Our software enables architectural drawings to be displayed, adjusted and presented directly on the floor at true scale.
Equipment Supply
DIFWOD supplied the core hardware required for the complete 10-projector real-scale projection system.
On-site Support
DIFWOD provided on-site technical support in Auckland for system setup, testing and project coordination
Commissioning
The complete projection system was carefully aligned, tested and adjusted to achieve the required final visual result.
WHAT WE DID
This project was built step by step, from the initial concept and system planning in China to on-site installation and commissioning in Bahrain. The video below captures the real process behind the completed 1:1 real-scale projection system.
PROJECT RESULT
The completed system uses 16 projectors to create a 1:1 real-scale projection area of approximately 14 × 24 meters. Architectural floor plans can be displayed directly on the floor at true scale, allowing clients to physically walk through the layout and experience room sizes, circulation paths and spatial relationships before construction begins.
